Zocalo is probably one of my favorite sacramento restaurants. I've been bringing my family here ever since they opened and if I ever have to do a meeting I always steer my guests this direction.By far my favorite dish is the Taco's De Cazuela. It is a hearty almost stew like concoction of Chicken or steak with onions and mushrooms in a heavy sauce. It's served with your choice of corn or flour tortillas and it's delicious!Their brunch menu is quite good as well. They have traditional favorites like Chilaquiles and huevos ranchero which are pretty tasty. My last trip in I did a bowl of Posole and it delivered! Note that it is very filling so if your not crazy hungry a cup might do the trick.One of the things I also love about this place is the ambiance and the bar. both are large, well decorated and a treat to the eyes and tastebuds! The building is an old garage and it has really tall ceilings and windows. It's nice because it brings in a lot of natural light and the place is clean. When its a full house it can get loud, just a heads up.Anyways, go check it out for yourself. Great spot to kill a hangover lol.

Delicious, flavorful Mexican food made from fresh ingredients. Beverages are generous with fresh fruit flavor. The ambiance is good, very loud in the restaurant itself far more pleasant on the patio.Food: 5/5
