On reviendra. This is a hidden gem of a restaurant that is embedded in the medieval part of saillon on a hill overlooking the Rhone valley. we sat on the terrace as it was a warm day, but the inner was also full. Apparently this is a very popular one. Eating place. I ordered a warm chinoa with sweet and cheese flavored. it was served in a bowl and was very delicious. my glass red Humagne wine was estimated at only 3.30 Swiss franc – a very reasonable price for this walliser speciality. despite the whole house, the three lady servers did a great task, to take orders and to operate without too much delay. next time I will reserve in advance.
Beautiful shaded terrace in the heart of the village menu with good value (for the Swiss! menu du jour very friendly service very knowledgeable on local wine
A warm maitag in saillon and the influx of the guests was more than the two ladies who could walk the place, running between the terrace and the tables inside. yet they could provide a delicious meal. the setting is rustic and eating is local, well prepared and in good portions. we had local cold cuts as starters and then spread out on low, tyloin and slumber. all excellent and good the little extra waiting worth.
We have eaten this summer twice here, once a birthday, once with our enkelin. both of them were perfect sunny days, so it was nice to sit in the shade under the plan trees. eating is excellent, although perhaps the portions a bit. on the small side. desserts are generous and tasty. good menu, a mix of continental and Swiss specialties. not cheap, but it's what they expect in Switzerland. there is also a menu du jour and that is quite reasonable. good, efficient service.
During lunchtime we had the fondue moitie moitie, and as a desert cafe glace. Both fondue and desert were very good. We ate on the terras, underneath the platane-trees. The service was friendly. Realy a place I recommend. Compared to other restaurants in Switzerland, I...would say the prices are average (but compared to other European countries the prices are very high).
