Most of us had the eggplant parmigiana that came with a side of spaghetti, but I wanted grilled vegetables. For dessert we ordered cappuccino and Italian pistachio ice cream, which, in my opinion, is shaped into vanilla inside and covered with a layer of pistachio ice cream!
We started with salad, salad, nothing else. I had a small veal, very chewing with one side of vegetables. Family business restaurant in our neighborhood, we wanted to support them during and now, after restrictions are less .
8 of us went to this restaurant for dinner and we all agreed that the meals we ordered were tasteless. the only good experience was the salate my wife had. the chicken parmesan was tasteless and the pasta that came with it tasted as...if it came from a dose, soft and muddy. the three women all ordered a pasta dish with garnels. one dish came without garnel and the other two have three or four garnels in their plate. overall not pleasant.
This small restaurant in St. Laurent is located in a strip-mall. They are greeted by a friendly host and sitting at a table with red and white tablecloth. The menu is large and offers an intermediate week table d'hote which includes soup or salad and tea or coffee. There are also daily specialties (e.g.) Tuesday is antipasto at half price and Wednesday is 2 for $22 pizza. Monday to Thursday has 50% of the second main dish. My husband had Kalbmarsala, which he described as the best he ever had, and I had chicken mitanese that had a beautiful, non-fat crust, but I found the chicken a touch dry. The main plates come with a selection of pasta or vegetables, both very tasty. We were too full for dessert, but will return and hopefully try some.
We had made a 7 p.m. reservation and when we arrived our table was ready. The restaurant was almost full, so make a reservation. We were quickly seated and then had a chance to look over their menu. Elizabeth, our waitress, came by with a...small plate of appetizer warm pizza slices and water. After looking over their menu, my wife ordered a small Caesar salad $7.00) and their Primavera pizza $14.00). I heard good things about their Lasagna with meat sauce $14.00), so I decided to give it a try. The salad was very fresh. My wifes pizza looked and tasted great and my lasagna was very good. The noodles were al dente and their spagetti meat sauce was very flavourful. No room for dessert. Enjoy.
