There probably isn’t a thing here that won’t be good. Cheese curds! Fish and chips! Fish tacos, poutine, we tried all those . Very cute, small place but clean, and we fit 4 adults 3 children just fine. As everywhere, wear masks except when eating.
Legit, classic fish and chips! Perfect sides and condiments: tartar, lemon, ketchup, vinegar and coleslaw. All delicious. The cod is fantastic. The fries are old school, classic rustic cut, crispy and tender. Lovely employees working this morning. There are only two and a half booths for dine-in. But we were there about 11:30 am on a Tuesday, so no problem. Salt water taffy was a yummy, classic and unexpected treat. I felt like I was truly on the coast of somewhere far away. What a Twin Cities treasure. I'll be back many, many times. Next time I'll try the halibut.
I really enjoyed their fried fish, with the coating extremely light and crispy. The fish is also very delicious. Cole slaw is not good (a bit wilty) but the fries with light sea salt is very nice. It is a super oily meal but doesn't feel like it. Excellent food.
They know their business well, and it shows. The fish and chips were delicious, nothing was soggy or limp. They do make it clear that the serving window is only 10 minutes. Eating there or nearby is a must, but the food is well worth it, crispy and perfectly cooked fish, slightly underseasoned fries, mostly due to the use of pretzel salt that does not really stick to the fries well. The batter for the fish is awesome!
