Asked for English menu sadly they could not provide but the waiter translated properly.served le chuffe in cracked glass referred this and immediately was replaced glass and bottle..no questions asked..service quick and nice ... recommended..price could be more suitable..but it's ok
Excellent small-town Dutch restaurant serving high quality food at reasonable prices. I gave it a rare five star rating specifically because of the fantastic house specialty spare ribs (see below). All the food tasted fresh and of high quality, from the fresh draft wiez beer to the fish to the meat. And the service was warm, friendly and well done. The menu was in Dutch but the waitress kindly translated the entire thing to us in English. My guest and I were hypnotized by a huge plate of spare ribs walking by to the next table and the waitress said they were the house specialties. She said they were known across south holland for their ribs and they even ship them by post. The sweet version is the most popular (also a spicy version available). Honestly, hand on heart, these ribs were the best I 've ever had. Soft, falling off the bone, wonderful mildly sweet flavor, and a huge portion (an entire rack). I was not expecting to walk into a small town Dutch restaurant and have the best ribs of my life but it happened. Final Bill: all together fairly reasonable. Three beers, two starter plates (mustard soup and their seafood sampler), chicken sate ', spare ribs, and two coffees. Total bill came to 58,00 euros. I really encourage you to try this restaurant, particularly for their fantastic ribs. I promise, you will be glad you did.
