I will never go back!
Stunning location in the middle of the mountain. family atmosphere. each choice depends on organic and homemade food. the only thing they do not themselves is olive oil (because of the height) and wine. we ate an appetizer of homemade cheese and cold cuts. that was awesome even in comparison to the incredibly high standards of the region. sheep prosciutto. no words. the cheeses were in strength and hardness/season, so they also advise us in the right order to enjoy them better. it was literally a journey through the taste. first, we had a good homemade captivating with an egg sauce, and a raviolone, i.e. a large pasta roll filled with ricotta cheese and bathed in red sauce. Very good. as second they brought us to the grill, fabulous, and lamb porchettato, which was even better. we have closed with full-wheat crostata with cream and jam that the children disappeared. all in all, great, good prices, nice service, and we chose amazing cheese in the load they have in the restaurant.
At epiphany I went with my family for a day after scanno and before I went home, I decided to book a place to eat. from this reason I went on trip advisor and decided to this place and I must say. I wasn't disappointed. the restaurant is located in a very beautiful location, surrounded by the typical atmosphere of the region abruzzo, where the landscape of farms, sheep, cows and other species is dominated by animals and obviously mountains. we ate very well. everything is homemade from broth to pasta and of course the cheese that represents one of the most important ingredients that are offered both as antipasti with different types of cheese and as second cursor in the often melted. everything is very real and the staff is very friendly. Since I have lived in italia for a long time and had the opportunity to eat in most of the restaurants throughout the region, I really recommend the place when they go after scanno or near because they will have a very unique experience.
About 2 km after scanno, on the way to pescaserolli, there is a statue of papst johannes that visits the place. turn right and follow the signs for 800m. on the left side, under green meadows full of sheep, cows and horses, there is a small farm with a restaurant. they make their own cheese and meat. the atmosphere is very authentic, eating is great, like the one out there. we had antipasti of cheese and meat, lantil suppe, pasta with sauce from the special gregorio rikota cheese that she and lamb chop. all very good. they do. very nice and cozy. highly recommended!
