This restaurant is a no-frills, classic Italian dining experience with quality service and quality food. Their menu is simple, but affordable. Don’t come here expecting creativity or over the top production. This is a lineup of just the hits, and they all hit. We had pizza, salad, and pasta, and with each course our plates were entirely clean. Would highly recommend.
Machiavelli was great, worth the wait time to get a spot. Our friends are regulars and love their carbonara, which was really heavy on the garlic this time... Their lasagne Bolognese was very saucy (kind of more of a liquid than solid food) which I didn't expect. Chicken parmigiana was 10/10 and I would definitely recommend it, probably would go back just for that. Try it out if you love authentic Italian cuisine.
We actually tried coming here 2 nights before we actually did get to come and were told that it would be a 45 minute wait, so we decided to wait another day and come back. This time seated immediately but did get lucky as 10 mins after I know there was a line.A small, very loud setting. No more than 40 people in a compact room. I just don’t think it’s practical so have that amount of people in that small of room. Would make the consumer experience a lot better if you took out 3-4 more tables.Small portion of bread with $6 for refills? That’s seems a little steep, even in todays climate. Most places do not charge unless you really are OTT on the refills.Waitress was professional but not overly kind. Straight to the point, wants you in and out. Male server was much more approachable and what you would expect from a server.Food was good but I paid $28 for a special which, in the end wasn’t worth that. Heavily garlic flavoured when garlic wasn’t mentioned in the dish on the menu. Gnocchi was fantastic but I just expected a little more overall for the price I was paying. I wasn’t blown away with it but was overwhelmed with garlic.Eggplant parm, also great, didn’t come with any pasta. When paying $20 and you don’t even get a small portion of spaghetti. I thought that was a given.I don’t think it’s worth the hype. Maybe check it out for yourself and see what you think but I don’t think I will return.
Very cramped. I called and called to order a to go items. After the 5th time, someone picked up the phone and sat it down on counter.I road the scooter all the way there listening to the restaurant. I arrived still listening to the restaurant noise. They just ignored me.Food: 4/5
