Both the entrees and the pie were outstanding. I was a tad concerned, since I'm kind of picky and spaghetti sauce, but this was some of the best I've ever eaten. Fantastic food, with portions large enough that the leftovers are now nestled in the fridge, waiting to be devoured over the weekend. I give this a 5-star rating only because that's the maximum number of stars available.
Thought we would give breakfast a try since we tried supper back when they first opened. Sadly food was worse then the first visit, which wasn't very good either. Atmosphere felt very cluttered and hard to relax yet we were the only ones there. We didn't think the general store blended well with the restaurant setting.
The place was odd to say the very least. The decor itself is that of a bar. Lots of taxidermy and lots of skulls and horns. It also has a little garage sale in the back with not so garage sale prices. The menu, again odd. Don't know what to make of a menu that had egg salad, tuna salad, bologna sandwich, peanut butter and jelly or a BLT. I guess just not what I wanted for lunch. I wanted to try the daily special as it was lasagna day but when the waitress couldn't explain what the gravy is they put on it, I was out. They also make fresh pies for sale. What kind? Who knows. The menu doesn't tell you.
Alfredo pasta was great. Large portion. Had a side salad and bread. Plan on taking some home. Nice and quiet when we were in there. Great staff !
Love the Italian Cowboy Cafe buffet! Food is so delicious! Could eat there every week!
