I live around the corner and never eat at this diner. However, when I asked my son to pick up food from “the diner” he went to The Point instead of Windjammer (my usual). They honestly can’t do even the simplest meals well. Burger was thin, dry, overcooked, and over seasoned. The soup was way too salty. I had a simple grilled cheese and fries and one side of the grilled cheese was not grilled. So it was half crispy, half soggy. It’s just as bad as it was 7 years ago when I swore I’d never eat there again.
One of the best burgers on the shore, I love their burgers and fries and the atmosphere of the restaurant. This restaurant really does remind me of Bob's Burgers for some reason, probably because of the location of the restaurant and the way it's layed out. It definitely is a cool restaurant, 10/10 recommend coming here for a lunch or quick bite.
Food is always good. Waitress is attentive but not Draped all over you. They make a good fried flounder. They have grits which seems to be a dying thing in NJ at diners. Salad was full and jam packed with grilled Buffalo chicken. Kid-friendliness: They are always ready with crayons and paper. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp leading up to the door.
Thought about getting an omelet there but one glimpse of the TV and I decided on Wawa. Small business owners: Do not turn on news stations! Use weather or travel or HGTV.
