I would not recommend this restaurant for two reasons: 1. Although this restaurant is on a beach, you have to drive up and down around a mountain on a treacherous unpaved bumpy road to get there. Even if this was a 5 star restaurant, the drive wouldn't be worth it, especially at night when you can't see where you are going. 2. We tried some Indian and grill appetizers and some main courses from the grill. Nothing was tasty, except for the pork loin. We got there at 7 30 pm and we were the only guests there. I think this place would be ok for a lunch if you are going to the beach there, as the drive wouldn't be as bad during daylight hours. But, not worth it in my opinion. It was our worst meal of our trip. You are better off going to Dasheen at Ladera Resort, Rabot at Hotel Chocolat, Saltwood and Bonte at Sugar Beach.
Set a reservation online coming from a different resort. When I got there, they hadn’t seen my reservation they sat us regardless. No big deal. The restaurant had an awesome live steel drum that night which was fun to see. Ambiance subpar. We had one of those wobbly tables where one person puts an arm on it and it shifts side to side. Anyways annoying, but again, no big deal. The table was basically in an outdoor hall where half of the restaurant was cut in half by some tall curtains that didn’t reach the floor. Again, not a big deal, but just look cheap/tacky. Our server was quite nice. Service was okay. We ordered two Mango Mules, only one came on the first go around, and then we waited a solid 20 mins before the second one came for my partner. They comp ed the mules. For starters, we go the butter chicken and the shrimp. Both were fantastic! The butter chicken is a win and comes with a nice Naan. For mains, I had Paneer and my partner had the tandoori chicken. Both were excellent. Would suggest any dish at this place based on that. Honestly, the butter chicken works well as a main too, if you want to stick with the classic. We got 2 mojitos after that and they came quickly and were perfect. Not too sweet, not too much soda, just right. If I were to do it again, I would do butter chicken app as my main course, it was amazing, and it was a lot a food. As for the ambiance, it’s just okay.
Best Indian food everrr!!! I ate there 3 times while staying at the Jade Mountain for a week. Absolutely recommend this place!!
This was the perfect setting to have an elegant dinner. The meals were prepared perfectly, and the staff was outstanding. Highly recommend!
