The Priory is a lovely, family pub. My husband and I have been going there for several months for Sunday lunch. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the premises have been redecorated and the Sunday roasts we have enjoyed very much. We recommend this place to all our family and friends as a great value, pleasant place.
Superb Local Pub , which is a rare thing. Little things like the meat raffle, Open the box customer reward game and very good quality beer makes this a great place. I considered if I should go after reading a few of the reviews, but the others made me think I should give it a try. I was welcomed by the staff as if I was a regular. The other customers were friendly and chatty. The beer was superb. I drink John Smiths Smooth, and I have to say that it was probably the best pint I have had in any pub in Grantham. It was also only £2.50. It was not warm as stated in one of the other reviews). As I noticed food being served, I asked for the menu. I was peckish and asked for advice. I was recommended the homemade chicken strips. These are real chicken fillet strips coated in their homemade batter. They were served with a lemon sauce which was to die for and homemade coleslaw. Once again, it is rare to find a place that actually cooks their food and does not buy it in for microwaving. Yet, my lite bite was only £3.50. I will be back and recommend that others do the same. I would like to thank Sarah who was on the bar) for her friendly and professional service and to Warren the landlord) who was cooking. Cheers Guys, I will see you again
