When we got there at 1 o'clock there was a message written on a glass pane in the door saying open at 4.37'. This seems to reflect the sense of humour' and...general lack of interest displayed by the management when we have visited in the past and we are unlikely to try again. Such a shame and an opportunity missed to provide a welcome break for hungry walkers and families visiting such a lovely part of the world.
Great setting with tables brazier under the trees. Always friendly consistently great pub soundtrack. New addition of wood fired pizza oven great for casual fueling up.
We sat outside both times we came. The first time we came in the evening when it was busier (but there was no food as the chef had come down with covid). The second time was a quieter Sunday lunchtime. We had such fun, with...a fire pit being set up and the kids being given free marshmallows to roast. We ordered the woodfired pizzas too, which were probably a little pricey for their size, but the main issue is that they were still somewhat cold in the middle. The outer parts were tasty. It is a friendly place though, with the kids being invited to play bongos inside! Good experience overall.
The Byre Inn is an amazing place to visit, Staff are very friendly and happy to help with anything, we were able to have our own music, and stay overnight using car park for camper van. Beer and Food excellent. A few nice walks in...surrounding area which kids loved especially one to Loch Achray via highland cows. If you are visiting Callander Area, Dukes pass would highly recommend stopping by
Had lunch and a take away during our Christmas stay up the road. It was a limited menu but food was excellent. The staff were fantastic and really welcoming. We would recommend this place to anyone.
