I've been to Belgium a few times and even in most bars, they don't have the variety they have here. I had a nice pint, but I saw people ordering food. I decided to give a go with Toast Skagen as a starter and a burger as main. The toast Skagen was very well done. It wasn't massive but very tasty. The burger was fine, its just a burger though. Next time in Stockholm I'll visit this place again (hopefully will have ended the beer diet I've just began).
Im no beer connoisseur but you dont have to be one to enjoy Belgo bar. The restaurant/bar is classy without feeling alienating. They boost an extensive and highly regarded beer menu. The food is good. The location is a walking distance to the central station. The service is quite good.
A great selection of Belgian beers, typical dishes and not to mention, pommes frites. Not a budget restaurant but a quality spot.
Stayed at the Freys hotel where this restaurant is part of the hotel. It is on a side street to a much busier street and thus a bit quieter if you want to enjoy the outdoor deck. It has several dishes to choose from a daily menu, where Moule Frites is a permanent choice. Myself and my company thought it was money well spent for a lunch, the price includes a sallad buffet and coffee and biscuits. There are several Belgian beer on tap.
Went with a large group, and even though we prearranged, they were ill-prepared for us. Only allowed to order from 2 dishes (beef or fish), I got the beef and husband got the fish. Neither of us was impressed with the meal. Service was pretty much non-exixstent. My husband and I each had 2 beers with our meal and our bill was $140 USD which was more than this evening was worth. Would not go back.
