We came here for a work lunch, i walk past this place every day and there are also a huge line up waiting for coffee in the morning. <br/ <br/ If you want a strong cup of coffee this is the place to go, unfortunately i am not a strong coffee drinker, my coffee was so strong i had to put sugar (which is something I dont normally do). <br/ <br/ I had the pork crackling bun,it was $9 but it was the best thing ever. The pork was tender, fatty and succulent whilst the crackling... oh man its some good crackling. My colleagues got the standard avo smash and panini, it looked alright but I wouldnt order those dishes when there is perfect pork and crackling.
I frequently visit this restaurant as it is conveniently located next to my workplace. I have indulged in their delicious coffee and freshly baked muffins, particularly enjoying the ricotta flavor in the mornings. For lunch, I have tried their sandwiches and rolls filled with pork, lamb, or chicken, served with gremolata and optional side salads. While the pork is tasty, I found that it tends to be oily. The lamb is good but not as flavorful as the pork. They also offer meat with salad in a box, but I found it to be overpriced and not worth it. Despite being a bit pricey, the location across from a bank may explain the higher prices. I appreciate that they are open on rainy days, providing a cozy atmosphere with coffee and warm muffins.
Ordered a large amount of burgers (a mix of beef and chicken) and fries for a lunch conference. Burgers were great and enjoyed all-round; great tangy sauces and well cooked meat. Chips were very average, could have done with some more salt. Says on the website that they're curly fries but are just regular thin fries (not a major complaint but site should be updated). I've also ordered the mushroom breakfast burger in the past, which although fell apart easily tasted pretty good. The man who served me in the morning was a bit stern, but the lady who helped with pickup (real Aussie accent) was a legend. Would like to come back and try some of their roast meats and pastry.
This is my local lunch time spot, pretty much at the foot at my building. Despite convenience the service is really quick and consistent every time I've been. I really like the quality of meat and the flavour they use their boxes. I feel that the panini's lack a little bit of finesse and flair and it's often not enough as a meal. Otherwise the staff are always friendly and the food is always good.
