Kokoro Sushi - Toronto

Our office was recently relocated to the lake and this place was one of the ones that I decided to try after searching for sushi on google maps. Don't be fooled by its small storefront. The fish in this place is extremely fresh for such a small location and they do not overcharge you for the quality either.This place has become the go-to sushi place for my team. Every time I decide to make the walk over for sushi, you can be sure that my entire team will also be placing an order as I conveniently pick it up for everyone. The chef is very quick. I always order my food from the office and by the time I walk over (less than 10mins), my order is always ready. You would think everything was premade or something, but it's not. My first time there, I didn't know I could order by phone so I watched how quickly he made my order. I waited less than 5 minutes for everything to be ready.This is definitely a perfect option for a quick, cheap and delicious meal.

Work very close to this restaurant and it is my go to place whenever i want sushi. Very small restaurant with no place to sit really, except the 2 tables outside. The food is always on point. Down side to this place no place to park, busy during lunch, and they do not accept visa.

Honestly, this place is a guilty pleasure of mine. I debated even letting people know it exists because I sort of wanted to keep it to myself. Well, after some thought I decided to share. I go here about once every two weeks, and often a lot more. It's addictive, delicious, and well made. The price is quite reasonable, and that's what drew me in. I compared places all around the area, and nothing even comes close. Sushi shop in particular pales in comparison from the rice to the produce they use. The rice, oh my, I'm not sure where they get it, or how they cook it, but it is spot on! People may think the rice is no big deal, but trust me, it makes a difference. These people know sushi, and you can tell in every detail.The cucumber tastes like cucumber, not like the plastic, chlorine tasting **** from most other places. But listen, you won't even know the difference unless you try it, because I didn't. I didn't even know that sushi could taste that good until I went there.Try it, but, uh...don't crowd the place eh? I'm still gonna need my fix ;)

Love this place, always fresh, fast and delicious sushi. Far price good device. They have been on business for long time and never list the quality.

This may not be an elaborate restaurant, but do not underestimate their ability to make fantastic sushi at a great price. This has been our consistently favorite place to get sushi for the past four years and it is by far my favorite night of the week when I get to have dinner from Kokoro. The owner and staff are also very friendly and make going to pick up sushi worthwhile.
