I made a reservation through Open Table and received a reminder the day before. However, when we arrived at the restaurant at 7 pm on a Tuesday, we found it closed with no explanation. I did not receive any notification through phone or email about the closure. When I called the number listed on Open Table, I reached a voicemail and left a message. It was disappointing not to have been informed in advance. I wondered if they decided not to open for the night due to a lack of customers.
I was eagerly anticipating dining at Le Neuf with a friend who had recently returned from Paris. I had made a reservation online through OpenTable and received a reminder the day before. However, when we arrived at the restaurant at 7 pm on a Tuesday, we found that it was closed. There was no sign on the door explaining why. I had not received any notification via call or email about the closure. I tried calling the phone number listed on OpenTable, but only reached a voicemail message asking me to leave a message. I was disappointed that we were not informed in advance about the unexpected closure. It left me wondering if they decided not to open for the night in order to minimize losses due to low expected turnout.
Disappoint. Bland food. A server for lunch too busy to serve us most of the time.
The establishment turned out to be more of a café than a restaurant, as the name suggested. We had to request for the music to be turned down as it was too loud for conversation. The food was decent, but the seafood stew was lacking as the shrimp had not been peeled. This oversight really detracted from the overall dining experience for me.
This French restaurant is adorable, serving incredibly delicious food and situated in a fantastic location. I adored the atmosphere and the music.
