We were in the neighbourhood at dinner time, and in the mood for something Asian. The restaurant was just under half full, so getting a table was not a problem. <br/ <br/ After looking over the menu for a couple of minutes, we decided to go with their Fixed Price menu, for $16.99 each. The meal comes with Organic Greens Mango Salad, Tri-Colour Rice, Thai Mini Veggie Spring Rolls, Soup (2 choices), and an Entrée (18 choices, with an extra $2 for 4 of the items). For 5 of the entrees, you could choose chicken or beef. So, lots of variety. <br/ <br/ SWBMO chose Thai Lemongrass Vegetable Soup and Thai Sesame Beef with Broccoli Stir Fry. The soup and salad were served together. The soup had a pleasant tang, and was topped with celery, carrots, mushrooms and corn. The salad was a small portion of greens, with fresh julienned mango. SWMBO can’t eat mango, so I got hers. <br/ <br/ Her main course came with the spring roll, but they substituted a different kind, rathe than the two mini veggie rolls, with a deep fried roll that had a light batter on the outside. Still veggie, but a different texture. The beef was tender and tasty, and the broccoli still had a good crunch. <br/ <br/ The Tri-Colour rice was an interesting scoop of white, brown, and wild rice. The different textures played well together, and it was visually appealing. <br/ <br/ My soup was the Vietnamese Chicken Wonton Soup. Three plump chicken wontons, in a savoury broth. The wrapper on the wonton was a bit overdone for my liking, but the taste was pleasant. My main dish was Thai Chili Cashew Eggplant and Tofu. A little bit of spice heat, and some crunch from a few cashews. For me the most interesting ingredient was the tofu, which they had fried to give it a touch of crispness on the outside. I liked the texture, since it gave some balance to the soft eggplant. <br/ <br/ Service was pleasant and polite. <br/ <br/
It was good. Definitely worth a try. More upscale Chinese food joint. Everything was tasty. Nothing blew me away. But lots of other things on menu worth going back to try.
Had an amazing curry soup with rice noodles from here. It was very fragrant and flavourful, perfect for a cold winter day. Fast and friendly takeout service, and from what I saw of the interior it looks like a pleasant place to eat.
Continues to be one of the best Thai restaurants in town. Thai crispy beef is Our favorite along with the Thai Mango Salad. Cozy atmosphere with excellent service.
Local to the area for years. Visit once, 2x month. Never had a bad experience. Food decent. Good service. Fair pricing. Will return.
