The course itself has quite a few uniquely laid out holes in terms of elevation changes, dog legs, and in some spots is incredibly narrow. It’s a good course for beginners, and for the relatively talented. The staff was great as well. Only reason for the 3 stars is the health of the course isn’t that well. The majority of the fairways and tee boxes are crab grass, and some of the greens had a few dead spots. Often times it was difficult to discern the fairways from the rough, and the rough is capable of swallowing the golf ball at spots. For the price, it’s the way to go. But if you’re an experienced golfer who is used to country club style course than this isn’t the one for you. The staff was friendly, and the gentleman in the club shop actually offered a military/first responders discount without me asking, so that was incredibly thoughtful and much appreciated. They also don’t have a driving range, but they have a few mats set up where you can hit into a net to warm up.
Loved everything about the golf course. Very friendly staff. for the money the best golf course I’ve ever played on.Only problem we had was the course didn’t have cooler bags for our beverages.
Beautiful course with some great views. Fairways were in good shape as well as the greens. Even got to see some wildlife on one of the holes. The clubhouse has a great bar with a view to grab a bite after the round. If you’re in the area I would recommend checking it out.
Fun and challenging course, nice fairways, good greens.. the only down side are the little bug that flew around us the whole round.. still a great time!
Went to the pool several days.Garbage and smashed food greeted us in the parking lot each day.The same pile of band-aids were there each time until *I* cleaned them up. The pool was disgusting. I spent over 30 minutes skimming it while other pool guests thanked me. I requested that the staff ask the manager for a vacuum, but they didn 't have one. They have a service that comes to maintain the pool, but as a pool owner, you need to have one on site for daily maintenance. Pool was littered with hair, straws, bandaid, bugs, leaves, pool noodle debris... It was gross. The bathroom was out of paper products, and the staff was slow to fill it once we asked for some. The bathrooms were poorly kept. Floors were covered in garbage, water, and urine. The bartenders were PAINFULLY slow. They ignored guests, avoided eye contact, requests, and gestures, and it took them over 10 minutes to even greet us. We asked for a drink menu, and she said she they don 't have one. I said, Well, my husband saw one the other day, only then did she provide us with one. They were cold and unfriendly but seemed to be nice to their regular patrons. The 2 alcoholic drinks and 3 Shirley temples took over 25 min from when we walked in to order. That is unacceptable. The pool bar ordering window isn 't even open for use, you have to go inside to order. They have the means to serve you better, but choose not to. Everything needs to be managed better here. The view is STUNNING, but that 's it. The Pool and parking lot need to be maintained daily. The staff needs to be properly trained. The manager didn 't care that the pool was gross and his staff will continue to follow his poor leadership. Someone needs to care about this lodge...it has the potential to be great, but it 's just not.
