Traralgon Thai Restaurant

A group of 5 adults and 2 children, we enjoyed a delicious meal from a most accommodating menu.Starters and main meals were all served in good time, neither too quick nor slow, and the quality of the food could not be faulted.In fact ir was delicious... cooked fresh and to perfection, and with the right amount of spice.Our table was kept supplied with drinking water, and the service was, over all, friendly and efficient.The restaurant was quiet but we felt comfortable at all times and unrushed... with no pressure on us to leave after we finished eating.My first visit here in a while, but am looking forward to my next.

Great authentic Thai food perfect for eating in or takeaway, heaps of menu options to suit everyone. A wonderful place

I want to give this restaurant a 5 for food, but a 1 for service, hence the 3 stars.The food is delicious and I always love it, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. When trying to phone in a takeaway order, no one ever answered the phone. Went direct to the restaurant to order and was told 'Too busy to answer the phone'. Last night we went had dinner in the restaurant. Only two other tables had customers. 3 wait staff wandering around/handling takeaways at the register. We had the banquet, plus a bottle of wine. Wine was just put on the table, unopened. Staff never approached us except to deliver a course. No chat about 'Is everything okay?' 'Is there anything else I can get you?'. We were supposed to receive coffee and dessert as part of our banquet, but gave up after waiting quite awhile after finishing our meal. I did mention this as we were paying the bill and was told 'Oh, sorry, we often forget about that.' No offer of reduction in bill, either. Will not bother to go back.

First impressions were good food and service. It became apparent however that the food was laden with MSG. Unquenchable thirst and awake half the night are symptoms I have experienced previously from MSG. Won't be back.

I spend a couple months every year in Traralgon and have tried most restaurants and take away places. Traralgon Thai is my favourite. Every dish from there is yummy and authentic.
