The appetizers and drinks were good but the entrees were eh. My Mahi Mahi was way overcooked and my husband's pork was dry. Friends who ordered steak and pernil said it was great. And the drinks were MUCH pricier than anticipated for small glasses. Not sur eif the chef had changed but I remember it being much better before. I will be back as I love the atmosphere and DJ night but I will not be ordering anything but the steak from now on. It was a little expensive for the plate size and portion. Also, not very authentic dishes as they really don't seem to be original recipes. More like a WANA be Puerto Rican or Cuban restaurant but GRINGO flare. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Empanadas, Yuca Fries
Had the pleasure of having our holiday get together at Coquito with 22 people in our party. The drinks were fantastic and the food impeccable. The waitstaff took great care of us all which isn’t an easy task with such a large party. I highly recommend Coquito for your next dining experience with a small or large party. Sorry guys, but you’re way over priced. I won’t be eating here again. I paid $20 for your cheeseburger which I felt was worth $12. The indoor atmosphere is great. The outdoor atmosphere is nothing to write home about (unless looking at commercial businesses and traffic is something you enjoy while you’re eating). Bathroom was clean. The hostess and staff were friendly, but the food was nothing to get excited about. I’ve eaten better tasting burgers for less money at OutBack Steakhouse! Rice was dry and flavorless. Upscale, NICE Caribbean food. Authentic flavors, a great bar, and more of a sophisticated atmosphere. A great place to bring someone for a special occasion.
