After we ordered our pancakes, we also ordered wagging that were not so great.
With no manager onsite, the food served to us was disgusting. The pancakes were tasteless, bananas used were soft, black and old. The poached eggs were translucent and well under cooked. The table was all grimy and sticky as if it had not been cleaned...down properly. The salt and pepper shaker were unusable (hardened). Feedback was provided to the manager after we left (because there was no manager onsite on a Sunday morning and the staff were not responding to our concerns), and he was in complete denial. He refused to respond to my concerns and in fact defended the quality of their food. Obnoxious, condescending and way out of touch. A good manager would look to address a customer's concerns, not fob them off and be defensive. I am all about constructive feedback. The meal and drinks cost us $90 but it was worth $0. Regardless of whether that is realistic or not, the last thing you do as a manger is become defensive and take that as an insult. If you are a person that values customer experience, then you should continue to listen and be curious and make improvements when necessary. Good luck!
All four people got everything wrong. Bad food, bad service and deceptive pricing equal a very bad experience.
My husband and I arrived for lunch, the manager attended to us. In due course he took our order a large stack of pancakes ice cream and cream for my husband and I chose Crepes with chicken and mushroom in a white sauce (the menu...photo looked appetising) I also asked the manager what he thought of that particular dish excellent, it’s very good was his reply. Well, my dish in no way resembled the crepes on offer. The globs of solid ‘grey’ sauce clung to a couple of small cubes of chicken and mushroom, the crepes were not great either. Possibly in lieu of a decent portion of filling were three ice cream scoops of mashed potatoes ??? It is fair to say I WILL NOT be a returning diner. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his pancakes. Wish I had taken a photo, but my husband is not the complaining type and my comments to the cashier served him as much embarrassment as I thought he would tolerate.
I’m not sure where to start with the poor service, snotty wrist/shirt and incredibly wrong food served and I can’t give negative so I have to give 1. I’ll start at the beginning, we ordered two coffees with 2 raw sugars each, a short stack...swapping one plain for a chocolate pancake, a regular stack, both with extra butter and maple syrup and also a side of crispy bacon. When we sat down my side of the booth seat was filthy so I sat to the edge. After placing the order, my partner said, we will not get what we ordered, she didn’t write half the stuff down. The bacon came out first followed by the coffee with 1 white sugar each. We had asked for raw sugar twice with the order, was even clarified that we wanted brown/raw sugar. The pancakes didn’t appear for another 11 minutes. During this wait we noticed another staff member who brought our coffees to us, was using the neck of the top of her shirt to wipe her runny nose and then afterwards, using her wrist to then wipe her nose. When the food did appear, while they swapped one pancake for a chocolate one, the chef/server decided I wasn’t after butter, I probably needed to have a gross amount of cream with a huge scoop of chocolate ice cream. I said to the server, ‘I didn’t order this..’. And told her what I did order. She had also placed my partners food down which didn’t have any butter and only one syrup. We asked her to get the butter and syrup for my partner as per what was ordered and she went to get it. My partner started to cut up his stacks in preparation for butter and syrup when he noticed the pancakes weren’t fully cooked. The server came back and asked me for mine if they could just wipe the cream and ice cream off of my order to put the butter on top. I was sitting there dumbfounded. I just said no, absolutely not, I didn’t want anything or a fresh order, as I was no longer hungry. We then told her that my partners food was partially raw. The poor girl appeared to have no idea or clue what was going on in general. If the chef told her to say to me to wipe the cream off a porous surface to then put butter on top, what a complete fool and horrible chef. (I’ve worked in serving before and I’m just not sure what the heck has happened here at this place. We actually told the girl we weren’t going to eat there and got up to pay for the coffee and leave. The manager appeared flustered at the register and did not let us pay. I have no idea what is going on or happening here but I will never ever return. Never. What a complete let down and disgusting venue it is now. We’ve read other reviews and seems we are not alone in receiving poor service, wrong food and undercooked food. We ended going to Cinnabon where it was clean, fresh and the servers knew what they were doing.
