Finding a neighborhood family restaurant that offers delicious, freshly prepared meals at an affordable price is becoming harder to come by. Luckily, this establishment fits the bill. With a menu featuring both Chinese and Western dishes that are generously portioned, flavorful, and reasonably priced, this restaurant is a hidden gem. The friendly, welcoming atmosphere adds to the overall dining experience.
In the past, Chinese-Canadian cafes were common in every Vancouver neighborhood, serving simple 'western' dishes like burgers, sandwiches, and all-day breakfast, along with a few westernized Chinese options. As tastes evolved towards more authentic Chinese cuisine, these restaurants gradually disappeared as their owners retired. The Cosy Inn Cafe is a nostalgic throwback to those days, serving comforting food at affordable prices. Despite not expecting much, we were pleasantly surprised by our meal and would happily return for more.
The Cosy Chat has added some items to its menu. I recommend her what ton soup! Good for the last drop. Very delicious and cheap!
We visited this place because it was near and comfortable at the time. We need to make much better choices if we 're this hunger because, as we have found out, this hunger does not make the best we have ever eaten at this moment.... We visited the first time, and I ordered a BLT. The toast came out like a brick. Not burned, but super crispy, almost as it had been sitting for a while before it stuffed, and made his mind that it would not be mistreated again in his life, and made himself opaque for bullets that Superman would stop. The bacon was quite soft, although other ' plates with beautiful, flat crispy bacon see. We asked if there were two types of bacon, and we got a hard NO. During this visit, we also decided that we would never order juice here as a small children's glass was $4. At the next visit we decided to share a few different entrees so that we can have more variety. As BLT type, I asked for soft toast, and again for crispy bacon, as it was another waitress and we could see crispy flat fat bacon on other plates again. You said okay, and I'm looking forward to my BLT being better. Who would expect it to go wrong because I was very sure with the waitress that it was the way I asked, right? We also ordered the Cheeseburger, and it was okay, nothing special. The BLT, though, how much she promised to do it as we asked, was totally wrong. It tasted like disappointment. Quickly forward to visit #3: I have resigned to pad Thai, do you have to make Asian food pretty good? Half of the noodles had no sauce, there was no lime on the side, but a lemon for the Calamari (I was confused why these were paired), and I was told that they did not store limes when I asked. All in all, another disappointing visit. Strike three, I'm done. Never again.
