The Singha Express - Wandsworth

This place is okay, nothing much to appreciate about, the food is fine and the service here is slow.

Delicious Food I've only ever had 1 bad delivery and this was rectified. They over charge for rice so I have started microwaving my own once it has arrived. Allow an hour for delivery

Our son recommended Singha Express to us during our visit, as he has ordered delivery from there multiple times. The meal arrived in a timely manner (45 minutes), although we did not receive the confirmation email that they usually send. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was disappointing. The salt and pepper squid was chewy instead of crispy, making it seem as if it had been reheated from the day before. Two of the curry dishes had the same taste despite being described differently, with one being excessively spicy. The satay sticks lacked flavor and sauce, resembling tasteless cardboard. The noodles and rice were decent, but the crispy dumpling balls were soggy. The highlight of the meal was the Thai prawn crackers.

We ordered a takeaway from The Singha Express on a Wednesday evening. Upon ordering (through a website), the restaurant called me to let me know they had run out of a certain item, but it was easy to substitute it for something else. The staff member on the phone was very friendly. The food arrived exactly on time, and the delivery driver was very professional. The food was all of an extremely high standard. The Salt and Pepper Mix prawns (our substituted dish) were absolutely extraordinary, and the hot garlic beef was incredibly powerful, rich and delicious. All the items were very fresh, and the overall chilli levels were perfect. The Singapore noodles were superb as well. We also received some complimentary prawn crackers much appreciated! I'd definitely recommend The Singha Express. It's easily the best Chinese takeaway we've had in London, and it's fantastic to have the option of Thai and Japanese dishes as well. Absolutely superb; we'll be ordering again soon!
