The food is decent, but the confusion of whether to find a table first or queue for the food remains as unclear as ever.
My partner booked this as a birthday treat for my birthday... Via Groupon... Two words... Absolutely rubbish.... Don't waste your money there's much better out there
My family and I decided to have lunch at this restaurant on a Friday. We were disappointed to find that there were no highchairs for children or a children's menu, which was not ideal for a family-friendly establishment. The food was overpriced and the place was dirty. The waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and it was chaotic. Many customers were complaining about the long wait for drinks and food. I had to wait for the manager to take my order, and she was publicly reprimanding her staff. The sandwiches in the afternoon tea set were pre-packaged. Overall, it was not worth visiting this restaurant.
I was hesitant after reading other reviews, but my worries were put to rest when I arrived at 12 for a groupon booking. A staff member explained the ordering process, we chose a table, and then selected our sandwich fillings. I opted for egg mayo, while my daughter chose bacon, lettuce, and tomato. We each received 2 slices of bread and could choose from 4 fillings. Our coffees arrived quickly, followed shortly by our afternoon teas. The sandwiches were delicious, and we especially enjoyed the fruit scone and lemon drizzle cake. The chocolate dessert and macaroon weren't to my liking, but that's just personal preference. This isn't a fancy afternoon tea, but it's good value for the price. Other diners' meals looked generous in portion size, and the staff were polite and pleasant. Overall, we had a really nice meal at a reasonable price.
