I called in my order (basil fried rice) an hour before closing time, and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrive 20 minutes later (to be safe), and still had to wait over 20 minutes. When the wait took longer, the lady working didn’t come over to update me or apologize for the inconvenience. The spiciness of the dish was perfect, but the rice was mushy and over cooked; highly unacceptable for an Asian restaurant. $21 wasted, all because the dish was ruined by the mushy rice. And I tipped $4 before even getting my food. I do not recommend this place, not even as a last resort.
Can’t speak of anything else but the Tom yum is a disgrace. Sweet broth with chewy chicken that tastes like it died on its own. Poor thing.Food: 1/5
By no means will you get a fine dining experience here, but the server we had was perfectly helpful and friendly and the food was delicious!Food: 5/5
I've been to several Thai restaurants in Silver Spring, but Charm Thai surpasses all of them. They serve one of my favorite salads: crispy fish salad. It's not easy to find. Try the brussel sprout salad. It's so tasty. Excellent pad thai!
