Padgett's Country Kitchen - Washington

This establishment is basically a WHITE ONLY joint. Blacks and people of other ethnicities are not treated as equals. I witnessed a black guy be asked to move to another table the one he was seated at was not marked as prohibited. I guess this is the equivalent of moving to the back of the bus.

The homemade food at this restaurant is simply delicious, and the staff are also very friendly and welcoming.

Wonderful home cooking! Hamburger steak was perfect...purple hull peas...okra...homemade biscuits and homemade chocolate pie just like your granny used to make!! The staff was as friendly as they could be...???

Classic country diner where all the waitresses carry a coffee pot and call you honey. Breakfast and lunch spot. Good breakfasts, excellent biscuits and gravy. Good service and reasonable prices.

A cozy restaurant with basic menu options and friendly service. My son and I shared a grilled cheese and home fries meal, and the food was prompt and delicious. If we are passing through Washington again and need a meal, we’ll most definitely stop here again.Kid-friendliness: Staff were friendly and accommodating to my 3 year old son.
