They have a zillion teas… even have a “loo” (bathroom)! The Full Afternoon Tea is a bit pricey per person, but well worth it for the experience. The rest of the menu is comparably priced. We got 2 Full Afternoon Teas for our table of 5 to share, added individual teas for the other 3 ordered a couple things from the lunch menu. This gave us a nice variety. If you don’t go hungry, the Full Afternoon tea is perfect for sharing. If hungry…you will want to order some food as well. It is BYOB. The service was impeccable all around! It was raining when we arrived. They have an umbrella stand at the door to leave your umbrellas. I had a pretty large expensive umbrella with me I was worried I’d forget. The manager brought me a little reminder note before we were finished. It was the most thoughtful gesture. Hard to find that these days. Give A Taste of Britain a try…you won’t be disappointed!
What a fabulous experience having afternoon tea. The food is very good but the truffles with royal treatment are something sent from heaven. Tea is always brewed perfectly and service is great. Kirsty went above and beyond to accommodate us.
I have to say my family and I were very disappointed with our recent trip to taste of Britain. This is a place we always love going to. However, since I made the reservation way in advance I was not aware of the pre fixed winter wonderland menu. We still tried to make the most of it and even asked if we could substitute for the sandwich flavors we love but we were told this wasn’t possible. We ended up not eating most of the food that was brought to us mostly because it was not good in general (dry/hard scones, tough meatballs, and food that did not look appetizing). Then to find out it was $54 per person was additionally upsetting since we definitely did not get a great experience from this. After speaking with the manager, they tried to brush us off but later offered a $50 for our troubles, which didn’t make us feel better about our experience. We also had a woman at the front desk shoving an iPad in our face with a text message regarding the prefixed menu which didn’t include the name of the business, the date or time of reservation, or a menu/price for what I apparently signed up for. When I made the reservation on resy, nothing was mentioned. Overall, disappointed with the service and how we were treated for a $300 tea where we couldn’t eat anything.
We had the best little holiday tea party there! Will make it a yearly tradition and introduce it to others! Such a fun atmosphere and unique gift shop.
I was worried about the negative reviews on the Winter Wonderland Tea Menu, but it is actually quite good! They were able to replace the chocolate orange scone with the regular chocolate chip scone for me. Much appreciated! They offered many loose tea selections and the waiter stopped by every now and then to refill hot water. The savory bites and sweets they offered here $54/person) are of higher quality and more delicate than those of the Dandelion $30/person, I wrote a review there as well). Plus, they offered one additional appetizer that was not on the menu. You got what you paid for. Would consider to revisit this place.
