I grew up going to the Surfside annually when visiting Wildwood with my parents. While we were heartbroken when they closed the restaurant, thankfully it was resurrected with the Surfside West, comprised of the same owners and many of the same staff. Now as an adult it is a requirement that I eat nearly all of my breakfasts at Surfside West whenever in Wildwood. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff is kind and welcoming, and the breakfast dishes are all great. I'm especially fond of the Belgian waffles skip the whipped cream and fruit, those things are just distractions from the rich flavor of the waffle itself. Many great, creative egg dishes on the menu as well!
Been here a few yrs ago. Went again today. Food was good. Dishes we got said they came with home fries. They did but about 2 tablespoons worth. Also, none of the breakfasts come with beverages including coffee or tea. Cost $3.50 for coffee!!!! We will probably go again but get water with meal and grab coffee at Wawa on way home! $37.00 for breakfast is a bit much! Service: Dine in
Service was a bit slow, it was labor day weekend, however. Hash browns had unmistakable taste of dehydrated potatoes and were completely unseasonably or not seasoned to the point of being noticed...scrapple was inedible due to liver aftertaste. (I KNOWscrapple, this was just not what I would ever expect) I have never not gotten through a piece of scrapple until today. Ourtable was directly in line with the air conditioning duct, there was not a draft but wind... enough to blow a napkin . Whilerecommended by a local, I'll try other places before returning.
