Every item I have ever sampled has ranged from very good to fabulous; even the basic house side salad or soup of the day is quite tasty. The place was totally packed last Saturday night, including a party of about 30. We waited about 5 minutes for a table. Within two minutes of being seated, a waiter appeared with chips and salsa and took our drink order. Two frosty cold Mexican beers, with limes, were delivered a short time later. I had the Chili Rellenos and my husband ordered his usual Cheese Enchiladas (no epicurean adventures for this man). We consumed the entire basket of chips and a second one magically appeared without any action on our part. Before we could do much damage to the second basket, our dinner arrived. My sizzling platter was filled to the brim with the two rellenos, rice and refried beans with cheese. The chilis were slightly al dente, so their texture was a perfect with the crispy batter and melted cheese filling. Extra tortillas are free for the asking and I filled three of them with the rice, beans and salsa. Some day I’ll go in and try the steak platter, but it looks like a meal for two.
Best Tortilla Soup I have ever eaten!!! I am 58 and this I would eat as my 'dying ' meal! Wow... Amazing!
Food was delicious! Super authentic BIG portions. Taking covid safety and customer care seriously! The bartender was funny and really respectful he makes a mean margarita 10/10 would recommend.
First of all, if you enjoy traditional Mexican food, this is a 'must ' place to enjoy. You won 't find trendy Cal-Mex, or even Tex-Mex food. But you will find a family owned and operated (on the third generation now) excellent restaurant. The prices are very reasonable, service is fast, and the food is great. There is a small bar in the back corner, but no dancing or live music. The seating is comfortable and fast. One thing to remember is that Vince 's is closed on Sunday and Monday (a hallmark of the true 'family owned ' restaurant). There is lots of parking, and easy access off of West Main Street in Woodland. Try Vince 's, you won 't be disappointed! CF
I've lived in Woodland many years and this is the first that I've ever been to Vince's restaurant. To my surprise it was very delicious. Starting off their salsa had a good flavor. The lunch soup was yummy. Their beans were fantastic and their rice was a different style of Mexican rice. The Carnitas dish was very crispy and had wonderful flavor. The devil's shrimp was spicy sweet and very flavorful. We really enjoyed are food and we'll definitely come back. Prices were good. Service was nice.
