Only one other table was occupied on a Saturday night, while other restaurants in the area were bustling. It seems they need to reevaluate their strategy as it is clearly not working. We left feeling disappointed and ripped off at the end of the night.
Visited on a Friday night when the weather of affection seemed to keep many away. after inserting with a few matching dark stormy drinks, the boss/owner beat a few family style plates for the four of us. One was all seafood, the other. a meat board. great opportunity to try a great selection of fish, from delicious grilled calamari garnel, trout and whiting. on the meat bowl there was an equally wide selection with wild boar, lamb, cornish henne and steak. each plate had a selection of vegetables. as enough for everyone to pick up at their favorites. we ended up with a lot of in house gloomy, all the big warm blueberry cake with cream, warm apple fritter, fried banana with an amazing berries sorbet. all in all, a great experience and a beautiful change from our usual places.
Fish and seafood plated served on a board family style as well as the meat plate. We found a wealth of food prepared and served beautifully. The plates boast some unexpected meat and fish, all with a modern twist. Loved the family-style presentation. Best.
We have been coming to this restaurant for years now. It is a lovely place to dine with family. Unfortunately, the bread was stale to start and the calamari and calf's dish were both overcooked. The sea bass was tasty though. The bill came to $25 per person, which seemed excessive for what we had. The tea, Grand Marnier, and some kind of sorbet were also disappointing. Overall, we were quite disappointed and don't plan on returning.
We have been coming here for years, so we were a little apprehensive about the new owners. We met friends for dinner at the newly renovated restaurant and we were not disappointed. It has a great vibe and the staff are amazing. The new chef/owner...came out to greet us and offered us a beautiful appetizer of roasted fig with pancetta yummy! We all ordered a pasta dish, which were all amazing. You could absolutely taste the difference with the home made pasta. We will definitely be back soon.
