Ridgewood Bay Resort - Zimmerman

Visited on a Thursday 6/4. I messaged ahead to make reservations for 4:30 and we got right in. The main server was training 2 other gals, which was a little awkward but they got the job done. We were seated near the photo op, right next to the lake. We had a nice view and relaxed for about an hour. Ordered a couple drinks from the server and helped ourselves to the food truck (must walk up and order yourself). I think it's a great setup, and the food from Come Get It BBQ was AWESOME. The pulled portal was moist and the creamed corn was the best I've ever had. We lost some at pull tabs, but other than that, it was a great experience! We'll be back!

We sat at a table for 35 minutes before being approached by a waitress. We made eye contact with her multiple times and she new we were there but she didn't bother to come over to us and sat goofing around with a lot of the other customers. 35 minutes later she finally came over and got us our drinks and put our order in but we were about ready to leave because we were getting sick of waiting. On the plus they have a very cool patio on the back of the bar right on the lake but just don't expect great service. If the owners of the bar were smart they would do better training or hire new servers. Everything else about this bar is great but after reading more reviews a lot of people complain about there service and waitresses.

They have the best lakeside patio we have found around here and it is nearby. The servers are overworked, but maintain their humor and helpfulness in spite of having to constantly apologize for short-sitedness of the kitchen ordering staff. We arrived early (5pm) Saturday evening after working all day. I ordered a glass of rose' wine and hubby had a martini. 10 min later, O-oh, no rose'. Got Merlot. Ordered coconut shrimp and BBQ ribs. 15 min later oops, no coconut shrimp. Ordered chicken. Salad bar, fresh lettuce a little watery and scraping the bottom of the pan. Very limited sides for salad. When order arrived, sorry, BBQ ribs all gone, but you can share the chicken. So I was the only one served!!! Oh, and go to the buffet at no charge. Of course only palatable choice at buffet was pulled pork BBQ, so a sandwich it was. Ugh. The chicken was very dry and tasteless, meh... Guess this isn't the place to get a dinner. Maybe we will try a pizza or sandwich or only drinks next time as we love the patio, but they need to get on the ball. Out of food and wine at 5, really???!!!

Nice atmosphere and really cool patio, plan on at least an hour wait for food and order 2 drinks at a time because the servers are not very attentive. It's been this way every time I have been there. We rode 45 minutes there this afternoon, waited 20 minutes for someone to take my order and finally left to eat somewhere else, it wasn't busy at all...too bad, nice location

We were very pleased with the friendliness of the staff, and also the size of the menu. For bar food, it's really good. The burgers come on a ciabatta bun, which I found pretty fancy for a small bar in the boonies. Enjoyed pull tabs, popcorn, and the Wild game while waiting. Can't wait to try it out in the summer when the patio opens!
