It was a busy night so service for ordering the food took an hour then the starters came out at different times so of which were after others had finished theirs. The main courses also took a while. The food was good and hot so no issues with that. The staff were polite and apologetic about the situation and gave us a discount for this. I have been before and Xen are known for quick service so I would still go back in the future. I think it was just a bad night.

Nous avons choisi le matteo et le carbonara spaghetti. les portions sont en conséquence, nous avons très bien mangé et laissé avec l'estomac bien rempli très chaleureux accueil et service rapide grâce pour ce bon moment le marnais

We both had flathead, chips and salad and how it is so difficult to do a basic fish and chips is beyond...me. Fish was covered in a thick unpalatable batter and what little fish was on offer was well overcooked. Salad consisted of mixed lettuce, half a tomato, shaved cucumber and dressing that must have come from a bottle. Chips were soggy.All this for a serve. Happy to pay that if only meal was enjoyable.

Lire plus My work colleagues and I visited The Old Mill for the buffet dinner on a week night.At $35 per head we thought it would have to be good value up in the end were we unimpressed.We arrived at around 7pm and I found that the hot food was mainly dry. Even the warm fruit strudel was dry with the pastry sticking to the bay Marie. Perhaps if we had turned up a little earlier the food would have been moist. Yes there is quite a good variety of food but compared to other buffet restaurants I have eaten at, this one is certainly not up there.
