When we were in Oswaldtwistle for a few weeks, we decided to try the vegan pub at Stanhill. You have a separate vegan menu with a selection of appetizers, nets... Lire plus When we were in Oswaldtwistle for a few weeks, we decided to try the vegan pub at Stanhill. You have a separate vegan menu with a selection of appetizers, nets and desserts. The mushrooms on sourdough starter was delicious and large enough to share. The banana blossom was interesting, but the dough was a bit too thick for me. Good to try when fish and chips eat. All in all, go a good place for vegan food.

Lire plus Very impressed by my visit here recently. Vegan options are a lot on the menu and not your usual boring. We ordered the sweet potato and eggplant catsu cherry and the other burgers, although our first choice was the Tofu skewer, which were unfortunately not available. Both dishes were delicious and, as expected, particularly tasteful with the Katsu sauce. An additional bonus was the unlimited salad with all main meals. For Dessert we have shared a delicious and ingenious chocolate orange slice before we put our bill with our friendly server and enjoy the rest of the afternoon in Fuzzy Ed's soft game with our young son.

Confusion over booking, told fully booked over phone but then was able to book online. Then got phone call to say, they're so busy they were only serving steaks... Then got phone call to say, they're so busy they were only serving steaks and no other mains (how odd) only to arrive to a half empty restaurant. Waiter was...unfriendly and unapologetic about limitations on menu, including the wine menu. Only serving Isla negra which was bought in Tesco across the road but we were charged £13 for. He eventually admitted place was in transition of owners and they weren't buying new stock in before change. We should have been prewarned or at least offered discount for hassle. Only two of the steaks were available. I chose ribeye. It was cooked to my order but was tasteless and chewy and served with a mundane Sunday dinner gravy (rather than red wine jus). Disappointing and I won't be back.

I would recommend this for any social meeting, delicious and good value for money!
