Lire plus We chose this restaurant to celebrate our daughter's engagement and because it has long been a favorite of my parents in the past, but due to their failing health and age they had not been for a while. We have been on many occasions with them and the welcome is always prompt and friendly. Not long after being seated, we were ready to order and the young lady who bought water to our table happily took our orders for our party of six. It was not long before the food was arriving, however, somehow my father's order was lost and though we waited before starting in the end to avoid our food going cold we did commence and finish before his order arrived. At other times, the food has been very good, but on this occasion, the lamb shanks were cold in the middle, the rice lacked seasoning, the onion bhajis were inedible they were so spicy, and the creamed spinach was simply a congealed mess. I am afraid not one of the dishes ordered got a tick from any of our party, with the exception of the garlic nan bread. I am not sure if the kitchen was having an off day or they have changed cooks, but despite the friendly and prompt service, the food let them down on this occasion.

The menu was unique with items like grilled octopus, vegetable skewers, marinated artichoke hearts, and grilled oyster mushrooms. The building is definitely a B... The building is definitely a British pub, but the food choices were not typical pub food. Wine list was small but adequate. My partner found a good local IPA on the beer list. Staff was attentive and cordial. Small outdoor dining area. Highly recommend

A first time visit to this Regents Place bistro restaurant, I am greeted with the warm presence of its high beam ceilings, beautifully designed furniture draped in sheepskin rugs. It almost feels like I should be in the middle of some snowy region, toasting marshmallows, log fire and all. You wont be disappointed with that fact that it comes with its own buzzing atmosphere, even for a Wednesday night, the bar to the far left side is packed with after work goers knocking back a glass of vino or three.
