I stumbled on the Place Philippe le Bon whilst wandering, enjoying the local architecture and the good weather. The square hasn't been gentrified and l was able... Lire plus I stumbled on the Place Philippe le Bon whilst wandering, enjoying the local architecture and the good weather. The square hasn't been gentrified and l was able to sit outside in the tree lined boulevard. The greet from the young waiter was warm and friendly so...l sat and ate there, in preference to the other restaurants in the square. I took the 19 euro lunch tian of aubergine, followed by beef flamande and an ice cream, with a quarter litre of red and a large basket of local bread included in the price. I sat for a long time, watching the world go by, happy that it was still possible to have a good home cooked meal in France.

It used to be a good place to eat and it developed a good reputation because it was generous servings of food for a decent price.
