New Haven Avenue, Melbourne -3-Stars (Chain Restaurant Rating) founded in 1978 in Southern California and named for one of the founder daughters, Beverly Jean-BJ 's has grown to 215 restaurants in 29 states since December 2022. BJ 's Restaurants, Inc. has its own beer club. Since 1996, their seven breweries produced hundreds of thousands of barrels of beer, many of which were awarded gold medals at the Great American Beer Festival. They would therefore expect BJ 's to have a huge beer menu, and it does. It also has a full fleet bar. The interior of this restaurant is tiled with TVs. The place is full of customers who are impressive in and by themselves. It meets me as an Applebee-style restaurant. And although it began in 1978 as a pizzeria, the menu is very diverse, goes via pizza to classic bar food, pastas, salads, burgers, chicken, steaks and sides. There seems to be something for everyone, even Avocado Egg Rolls for the vegetarian. Jeffrey was our waiter. He was average. If you create a basis for restaurant service, it would be the exact median. Jeffrey will never be on the top 5 servers of BBDO in Brevard List, nor will he be the worst. In fact, if any experience I had with Waitstaff was like the experience I had with Jeff, it would facilitate this hobby. I guess I'll give him a B- in server. I know that the appearance can deceive, but even the food photos did NOT make the food at BJ 's see appetite for me. But, hey, at least I wasn't overpromised and underfreed. I ordered the BJ 's Classic Rib-Eye, a reported fan favorite with roasted asparagus and new loaded potatoes. There was no taste, but the steak was cooked to temp and the mash was fine. Nothing about this meal made me a fan, but it didn't make me an enemy either. Next I tried the Bacon Cheeseburger, described as fired beef patty with apple wood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, salad, tomatoes and dill pickles, with BJ's signature Burger sauce on a Premium Parker House Bungalow. That was the star. In contrast to the most recent insane stupidity to smash a burger until all Gusto has disappeared, BJ 's served a real 3/4-pound burger, boiled to try. Again, no real wort in the burger or on the side of the fries that came with it, but received at this level of food preparation They burden average people want average food and BJ 's there are them. At least they offer salt and pepper shakers at each table. If you are here for a beer with the band, a place with a children's menu, or a halfway decent burger, and if you see several TVs while in a lot appealing, then you are in the right place. However, if you are an idiotropic seeker who wants to go inside, as you seriously consume exceptional susceptibility, you would better eat out somewhere else. The Big Boy says, For average food, average service and average prices, this is your place.
