Unlike the other two pubs in town however, the Anchor was pretty quiet on the evening we visited, so had no appreciable atmosphere. Of course I realise...that it may be busier and more lively on other evenings. Having said that, I enjoyed a bit of banter with a couple of the, admittedly, well-oiled locals and would happily use the pub again. In the interests of fair reviewing however, I must say that of the three pubs in town, on this particular evening this one was decidedly third.
