Ms Wanda J and her staff are awesome and provide first class customer service! This establishment has been around since 1974, you want to eat here and hopefully get to hear about all the celebrities that have sampled this down home soul food. Worth any miles you have to drive to dine in or get it to go! Go for lunch so you can experience her fried chicken and catfish, yum-o!

Eating was fresh, but the execution was bad. queso was sloppy and extremely thick. it was just on ok meal. puffy tacos were fat and we didn't finish. Corner cafe is transphobic. one of the waitress has chosen my friend, she has specifically misaddressed and made known. I'll never eat here again. I wish I knew... Great location and apparently you get your own personalized mug if you can drink different beers. They even have a Sunday night dinner special of chicken fried... Then again, I almost did the first time we came... And the second time. The problem is, everything else is so good that it's really a struggle to finally settle on one specific entree.<br br/>The first two times we came, my entrees were the chicken tostadas (best ever, as another reviewer stated) and then the duck tacos the second time "tacos de pato Believe me when I say that these duck tacos are one of the single best things I've ever had at a restaurant. They're very simple, but absolutely packed with flavor. The duck meat is tender, the tortillas warm and soft, and the mango-tequila-habanero sauce complements them perfectly.<br br/>Furthermore, the appetizers are out of this world particularly the chicken and beef empanadas and the flautas, and, like others here have mentioned, Hispania has possibly the best tableside guacamole you're going to find anywhere.<br br/>The only dessert we've had here so far (every time we've come it's that good) is the tres leches cake. It's difficult to put in words how good it really is sweet, creamy, loaded with flavor (but not too sweet or overpowering). Seriously, try it You'll be glad you did.<br br/>Hispania has fast become one of our favorite restaurants not just in the Lake Country area, but anywhere. Here you'll find great people, from the bartenders to the waitstaff to the owner and his wife (the head chef), and you'll have one of the best meals ever, regardless of what you end up ordering.
