"After a long day of wandering the main, I noticed the sign saying 'vegan bistro.' It was late in the afternoon and some of the menu items were not available. The gentleman working at the bistro made a few suggestions based on what they had in the kitchen. It was perfect and satisfying. He threw in a bowl of beet soup while I was waiting for my lentil curry meal. The place is small and cozy and eclectic. I can't wait to go back."

"I had read of this place in an article on street art in the area. We searched for it, my companions were getting impatient, and here's this little dépanneur looking like one of those little holes in the wall that will sell you pop and fancy soaps (but not lottery tickets and beef jerky). Have faith, I said, spotting a guy in an apron and what looked like a small grill area. Then a small printed menu. Hmm. Grilled cheese sandwich with four cheeses! My companions visibly relaxed. We all had one, delivered promptly to the tiny seating area by the friendly proprietor/cook. Diet Cokes, wifi, and three GCs that were as close to perfect as one can expect in this sad old world. I don't remember the other menu options but they looked good too. Don't go for a big choice, or French fries. But if you looked into Schwartz's or CocoRico and said, "ugh, not today, I can't eat that much!" then zip around the corner to this place."

"we found this subway after a later arrival in montreal. we had not eaten for hours and not many restaurants around our accommodation were open. it was fantastic. the sole dame in the service had begun to clean tables and chairs, but very graciously passed. it was not a problem to make a meal for us. fortunately she cleaned a table and made a chicken bag out of what was in her cool box, then she heated for us, all done cheerful and efficient. very impressive. back in our accommodation we have enjoyed our unique dinner gratefully and thought it tasted as well as any haute cuisine meal we had in an expensive restaurant. definitiw healthy. has also eaten us in the future even more meal times in the subway."
