I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at this restaurant. The medium rare was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. I highly recommend trying the chef's choice. The glass of red wine paired perfectly with the meal. Although it is a bit pricey, I have lived in several major cities and can attest to the quality of this dining experience. Bon appétit!
Great food, varied menu, good service. Would have been close to perfect except for the noise level. My husband and I were there celebrating his birthday, but since it's a lot of families and larger groups it gets LOUD and that really had a negative impact on the experience. My husband is a big meat eater and wanted barbeque for his birthday dinner, but also wanted me to have some decent options(I'm pescatairan). The Refinery does an excellent job offering non meat options. There were three fish entrees and even a vegan sandwich. The salads were very good not just some iceberg lettuce and beefsteak tomato but actual greens. I also really appreciated the variety of sides available even things like couscous and quinoa and squash casserole in addition to the typical fries and mashed potato. The broccoli I got was well cooked and not mushy or raw. My husband had a brisket appetizer and steak tip entree, both of which he loved. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Would definitely come back, but maybe for lunch or earlier in the evening when the noise level might be more manageable.
I would do 4.5 stars if I could for food, only because the pulled chicken was a bit lackluster (not bad though, just not on par with the rest). The brisket was absolutely fantastic, pulled pork very good, and corn bread moist and delicious. The staff was very friendly and prompt, quick to address any and all questions immediately and doing meal tweaks with no second guessing or issues. It was a Thursday I stopped in, and bar space was plentiful but tables looked tighter, nobody seemed to wait more than a few minutes though. Will for sure be back!Parking: There's a parking lot right next to the building which is nice if you can get it, and then there's another slightly further lot which is still free but not quite so super convenient
This is our third year visiting the Refinery for dinner on vacation, and we have never been disappointed! Every menu item is amazing, the smoked brisket exceeds our home smoker’s expectations, and every staff member is ON IT! Wow do they hustle, and are so pleasant. Chef makes table side visits and gives tips on other excellent local establishments (like a local donut shop). Will continue to visit every time we are in the area!
