Top 5 restaurant I’ve ever been to- good was 10/10 and service was the best I’ve experienced in awhile. Amazing dining experience and would definitely go back Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We always have a good time and good food in this place. However, today I was very disappointed that after spending $600 they wouldn't cave in offering a Jerez $6) after we paid our check, on the house, like they do often all over Spain. Ezra was the manager. I gave him the feedback, but he wouldn't care that much.
Hits and misses. The pace was dreadfullllll. We are familiar with tapas style dining and this was so much slower than that. Our meal dragged and we were so hungry. Some amazing some not so much. Would def return. But had really high expectations based on all the reviews and the hype. The mushrooms were soooooo incredibly salty. Painfully so. And we were insulted by the server when they insinuated the problem was us. The seafood was all incredible. The patatas came out cold which was so confusing after the long long wait. It's a good spot for tapas, but wouldn't say it's my favorite. We would return the next time we were in Asheville. Make sure to make a reservation weeks in advance because they do book up!
We'd been eager to try Cúrate for some time, and finally scored a reservation this past Sunday night. It was fantastic. Although our table wasn't ready at the time we reserved, our group of four grabbed a round of drinks at the bar. There was some confusion over one of the drinks and they were completely out of one of the local beers on tap, but the bartender was exceedingly kind and helpful toward making sure everyone received a drink they felt good about. That theme of excellent service continued at our table, where our server couldn't have been more helpful and engaging while guiding us through the menu. We ordered several plates and they each arrived promptly, which was especially impressive at such a busy time in the evening. Some of the standouts were: chistorra chips patatas bravas pincho moruno vieiras Overall, it was an outstanding experience. We totally see why reservations are so hard to grab here. Even so, we'll try our best to return on our next visit to Asheville. The food, service, and ambiance are truly out of this world!
