Took mum here for her birthday tea with my two sisters. The staff made a fuss of her and provided sandwiches and cakes to all our dietary requirements.
Lovely looking place but unfortunately the food was really poor. The sauce with the eggs benedict was awful and bland and watery. Nice service
I haven't been to Kirkby for nearly 30 years and this place was a great surprise. The food is very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. The ploughman's lunch was excellent. The cakes and scones are homemade and delicious. There is a great selection of teas too. Highly recommended.
What a surprise. We were on a long drive from Northumberland to Dorset and stopped in the area to walk the dogs. We used google to find somewhere local to eat and the pictures looked so nice we thought we’d give it a go. We are so glad we did. It’s decorated beautifully with objects to sell and clocks chiming. Lovely tea in china cups and the food was obviously top quality with all the cakes, I believe, made on site. The owner was so friendly and we had a lovely chat as well. We wish we lived closer as this would definitely become our local. If you are within a 100 mile radius it’s definitely worth a detour.
