Kobe - Ashland

Used to come very often, sadly it seems like quality has decreased to the point of FOOD POISONING. The service is great until something goes wrong even after being polite about it… The beef tataki managed to be made chewy and overly salty. Used to melt in your mouth… We got three different rolls and one of them tasted as if it had been in the fridge for a while or the rice wasn’t well prepared (Red dragon) and we were still charged for it at a discounted rate even though we did not eat it. Pretty sure this is the source of the food poisoning. The other two were good but not to the standard I was used to at Kobe. The miso soups had the bare minimum amount of tofu and seaweed. Very disappointed, used to be my favorite restaurant had multiple celebrations here as well. Seems like recently they’ve fallen off. Hope they recover but until then I do not recommend.

We travel from the Bay Area for the surf and turf roll!! It’s amazing. The cocktails are also a highlight every time that we go. Wait staff is so friendly and wonderful. This place is absolutely amazing!

What an awesome experience my wife and I had last night. Service was perfect and the sushi was very impressive. The delicious rolls were well balanced with fresh clean flavors that complimented the fish rather than cover it up. Presentation was simple and elegant. For dessert I had a scallop nigiri and my wife, an oyster shooter. Both of us were pleased. I received two beautiful scallops that were incredibly sweet. It was the perfect end to a lovely dinner. We ended up spending less than I had anticipated. A very nice value for the quality and quanity. We'll definitely be back!

Tranquil atmosphere with upscale and creative rolls. They are very allergen friendly. The vegan rolls are quite possibly the best in the valley.

Had dinner here and was delighted! The service was great, the food delicious, and the cocktails even more so. I highly recommend the Kobe Drop. The serving sizes from the entree were very generous and the items on the small bites menu were perfect for splitting between my wife and myself.
