Looking for the perfect place to have your fill of Chinese foods in Augusta? This restaurant would definitely be it as it provides Chinese classics menu in a comfortable space, their food was served over red tablecloths. Their cooking is light and subtly flavored, unlike many other Chinese restaurants that overdo the saltiness and the sauces. We never regret our visit to this restuarant!
Well we were looking forward to trying this "Chinese" restaurant out.... from the moment we walked in the door with bubs in a pram we were a problem for the waitress....I assume owner or manager. We found a place to sit and looked forward to ordering an entree. Once we found a dish for starters we observed the waitress....I'll refer to as the US Army Drill Sergeant. As my 30 week pregnant wife ordered wontons and then asked if we can then decide on mains....the drill Sergeant barked NO!!! The chef wants all orders together. Ohhhhhhkay we said. Give us time we politely asked...by this time my patients for the drill Sgt were becoming limited. About 10 minutes later the drill sgt returned, and to my surprise stated that the chef had begun to cook our wontons???? Ohhhhhhkay...well thanks. So we ordered mains....and my wife made the mistake of ordering a small Mongolian beef. Despite the menu offering both small and large, drill Sgt barked ONLY COMES IN LARGE. Then my wife asked if garlic could be added to the dish. Drill Sgt asked in a very condescending way, "not to be rude but........can I asked why?"..."have you ever had this dish Before? ". Yes my wife politely answered but I like garlic....and yes it's a preferred dish of mine, garlic added before no problem......by this time her patients had come to an end...as did mine. I was no longer going to actually pay to be in this persons establishment. I cancelled all orders but offered to pay. I informed the drill Sgt we were leaving. At time myou baby son had woken, as my wife returned him to the car. As I attempted to pay the "bill" shared that no eftpos was available and If I wanted to pay with credit card I had to spend a minimum of $25........I walked to the local servo where a top country gentleman gave me a withdrawal option. I returned paid the bill and informed the drill Sgt that her condescending attitude did not sit well with me nor did I ever wish to return. I would never run a business like this, serious need of a Gordon Ramsey visit. NOT recommended.

My wife & I have visited this Chinese restaurant several times over the last 15 years whilst on holidays in Augusta. The décor is always the same & very outdated. However, we were not disappointed during our recent holiday there, visiting the restaurant twice. During our visits we tried the Spring Rolls, Satay Combination & Sizzling Garlic Beef . All dishes were very tasty with the Satay dishes being our favourite. The service provided by "Sandra" was as always excellent. The only problem for current & potential customers is caused by the Chef's (Alan) cancer treatments which mean that the Restaurant occasionally has to unexpectedly close while he goes off for treatment.
I asked for fried pork dumplings. The deep fried wonton was what I got and was disappointed.. How sever the Manchuria platter of king prawn and n garlic chili was go od. So was the vegetable curry. Everyone else knew to bring their own wine and beer.
