This review is for their poboys. We used to eat them at least 3 times a month but they have gone so far downhill lately. Sloppily made and lacking ingredients. Thought we?d give it another chance and This was the better half of my crawfish poboy. Chewy tough bread, dry with little to no Mayo, and maybe half the crawfish. Not Good. Great alligator bites though.
I had their gold ____ creole, it was delicious. I don't know what authentic Cajun is so can't say for that part but I can tell you that the food is delicious. Will be going back soon. Definitely a different indoor environment than other Austin places.
So I've been here a couple of times and it is really great. The only reason I give the food 4 stars is that everybody I mention it to seems to think the food is super fantastic. So it's like a movie that everybody hypes and then you watch it and it's notquite life changing like you thought it would be. That is how I feel about their food. It's really good, just not life changinggood. Service is on point. Highly recommend.
From the outside it?s easy to overlook in a nondescript shopping center but once you go inside you are transported to a Louisiana hangout. The food is nicely prepared and the staff is super friendly. PoBoy is big with tender shrimp. Gumbo andÉtouffée are nicely seasoned and not pasty like I?ve had at other restaurants. I?m very excited to come back and try more ofthe menu!
