This was a lunchtime stop as we turned off the bypass as we were driving round Beja, there is loads of parking close by and the restaurant is easily seen as it is a large concrete structure at the side of a man made lake. Having said that the tables were cleaned and the staff attentive again it was on lunchtime so we had to wait a few minutes whilst our table was made ready. Good menu options the staff very pleasant and attentive and able to understand English and explain meal content, but as we would arrive on the Algarve later we only had mains washed down with wine and water the bill was just 26 euros for what was a very satisfying meal. Well worth trying.

We were 9 (6adults 3 children under 6years) having lunch at espelho de água. The place is very nice with a view to the city park and a artificial lake, creating a very relaxed atmosphere that helps you to properly enjoy your meal. All the dishes we ordered were very good and excellently presented from the starters to the deserts.

Nice and cozy place to have dinner in the city. As receive, they serve very tasty grilled meat, as well as the typical dish from Alentejo: 'Açorda '. Try to go during the day so you can enjoy the beautiful view to the city park.
