Dos Rios Cantina - Binghamton

This isn’t a review of Dos Rios since I can’t provide one—the restaurant was CLOSED! Not just for the evening, but for several months. It’s shameful and ridiculous that OpenTable still lists them on its website. We were in town for my son's graduation and made a reservation at Dos Rios. Reservations were hard to come by for that night, leaving us without a plan. Fortunately, my son knew of another nearby Mexican restaurant called Hacienda, which had excellent food. If you're considering using OpenTable to reserve a spot at Dos Rios, I recommend calling the restaurant first to confirm they’re actually open. You can't rely on OpenTable, as I unfortunately discovered.

I've visited Dos Rios many times for Bingo Night on Thursdays, where they also offer half-price mega margaritas. Usually, I have a great time because the atmosphere is fun. However, this time we were seated outside on the sidewalk, and it was chilly. We couldn't participate in Bingo, which made the experience less enjoyable. Now, I'm concerned that my future reservations might go the same way. If I encounter this issue again on my reservation for May 20, I will definitely speak up since I made that reservation weeks ago. Overall, I've had positive experiences at Dos Rios, but this particular visit was disappointing.

I had an amazing experience at Cinco De Mayo! The margaritas were fantastic, especially the blood orange flavor. My favorite dish on the menu has to be the shrimp tacos!

Have booked weeks in advance. came in for the night from the city to find out that the restaurant was closed on a Friday night. no notes on the door that explain why, no calls to let us know that they must cancel the reservation. would have been nice to know before we made the overnight that it would be closed.

Too expensive for the quality (or lack there of) of food spent over 100$ (including tip) for 3 meals, 2 appetizers 1 dessert and 1 drink, music still to loud, probably won't be going again, for a long time.
