Halifax Road Chippy - Calderdale

Terrible experience at this restaurant. The fish was stinky, the chips were not cooked properly, and the peas and curry sauce were flavorless. When we complained, the manager got upset and told us not to come back. No apology or refund was offered for the uneaten food. Stay away if you value good food and customer service. The manager's excuse for the bad experience was the high volume of customers, which is no excuse for low-quality food. Even the staff admitted they don't eat the food.

This is the top fish and chip shop in England and the employees are the friendliest people I have ever encountered! They are extremely polite and welcoming! xxx

But the chips were undercooked and not very nice so I'm gonna give an average score please sort them out as it really lets the place down

The batter was out of date, chicken was raw, and the pastry on the pie was raw. I had the runs. Would not recommend

I went to this restaurant looking for a quick meal and ordered a large portion of chips and gravy. I was surprised to see that I was charged £3.80 for it, as this price did not match what was listed on their online menu or what I had paid in the past.
