The food was great and the customer service was just as nice, thanks Raven and Bormen :
My favorite PotBelly location. Friendly staff and great sandwiches, my personal favorite is the pizza sandwich.
During my recent trip to Chicago for a work event in early June, I found myself staying at the Wyndham Blake. After an incredibly busy first day and night, I decided to grab dinner at the nearest restaurant to the hotel. I couldn’t be happier that it was Potbelly! I ended up eating there three nights in a row, trying a different sandwich each time. My favorite, which I was told is their best-seller, was the Wreck. The name “Wreck” couldn’t be further from an apt description for this delicious sub. The meat was fresh, the bread was soft on the inside, and just toasted enough to have a perfect crunch. Not only was the food outstanding, but the staff was fantastic as well. Each time I went in, I ordered from a different employee, and they were all cheerful and welcoming. I might catch some flak for choosing subs at a sandwich shop instead of indulging in Chicago’s famous pizza, but I couldn’t resist after that first bite. Kudos to Potbelly!
I had never tried Potbelly before, but since it was right next to our hotel, we decided to give it a go. We were really hungry and forgot to take any pictures, but I can tell you that the AVO Turkey sandwich was delicious, featuring turkey, avocado, Swiss cheese, tomato, and mayo on a multigrain bun. The turkey is freshly sliced from a breast rather than being deli meat. The BLTA sandwich, which is a BLT with avocado, was also very good. The process for making the sandwiches was quite efficient; there was a line of about 12 people, but it moved quickly. Overall, it’s a great healthy option for fast food!
