Overall the restaurant staff seemed very chaotic and in general understaffed all night. The bartender did his best to provide adequate service but he was overwhelmed and clearly, the bar was understaffed for the crowd. Our dining experience followed the same process, the waitress was running around and seemed over busy trying to cover her tables. She did the best she could but it fell short of good service. The final straw came when we placed our dinner order for a Margarita Pizza and Salad. 5 minutes after ordering we were informed that they ran out of Pizza. It was only 8:15 PM. How does a restaurant who serves pizza run out early into the evening on a Friday evening? so we only had salad and an appetizer the salads were overall below average. Just a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend Due Amici nor do we plan to return.
The customer service was excellent. A group of girlfriends and I were there last night and unfortunately two of us accidentally left our take home containers behind. Upon realizing this, we called Due Amici before walking all the way back. Unfortunately they had thrown away our containers (a bit too soon after us leaving in my opinion), so we were disappointed. I had personally only taken two bites of my entree, as I had filled up on apps and soup, so I was extremely frustrated about having paid for an entree I didn't get to enjoy. Undoubtedly, leaving the container behind was my mistake, but I spoke with the manager and she was gracious and generous enough to offer to remake my meal for pickup in the same evening. As I had already arrived at my after dinner event, I was unable to go pick it up, so she offered to mail me a $25 gift card instead. As annoyed as I was about the unfortunate turn of events, her generosity and effort to make it right really spoke volumes about the restaurant and her management. I've dined here many times and the food is great. Kudos to the staff and thanks for appeasing a frustrated and forgetful customer!
Excellent service for 18 people. Enjoyed the evening and ability to celebrate a special eve. T
We sat at table for almost ten minutes before being services. Waiter did not know details of the menu, basic questions required him to leave and come back. Ambiance and location are great, food was good, hopefully just got an inexperienced server, would return
This restaurant does not show up among the top results when searching for Italian cuisine in Columbus, but it is absolutely wonderful food, drinks, atmosphere, and service are spectacular, and it is located in close proximity to a variety of venues for entertainment before or after your dining experience. I would strongly recommend Due Amici to anyone interested in a delicious and enjoyable Italian dining experience.
